Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a truck-driving simulation game, and it is the sequel to the original Euro Truck Simulator. This version has received a graphical update and an expansion of the available European highways on which you can drive.

The original ETS was perhaps the most popular truck simulator on the market, and now it's even better with ETS 2. In the game, the trucks are designed after real-world rigs from MAN, Renault, and Scania. Each truck is beautiful, and you can customize them to your liking, at least in terms of appearance and performance.

ETS 2 includes more than 60 European cities spread across the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, the UK, and many other places. As you deliver timber across the continent, you'll increase the success of your freight company. It's actually fairly easy to get involved in the game since you can do outside jobs for extra income, and you can eventually buy a fleet of your own trucks and hire truckers to drive them. The game is a lot like any other RPG, only with less flashy content.

The app receives frequent updates that include additional trucks as well as alterations to the physics of the world and the way the trucks drive. Fans have built a dedicated community around the game, and many of them have created their own mods for the content. You can find a lot of this content online for free. If you don't mind paying a premium for additional content, you could opt for the paid DLC from the developer. One piece of the paid content is an extra set of maps that lets you travel through Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia.

If you're new to the game, it's likely that it will feel dry or overwhelming in the beginning. Those who are truckers or simply love driving trucks will adore this software, but others might find that a bit of patience is necessary when playing. Despite the fairly thorough tutorial, most new users don't know what to do when they are free to play.

You can quickly set a nice rhythm with the game once you gain sufficient skill with the controls. The game looks quite a bit nicer than its previous version, but the landscapes and environments look a bit bland if you stop moving long enough to study them. The game has made great strides, but traffic in the game still needs some work. However, if you simply enjoy driving slowly over long distances, ETS 2 is for you.

It's hard to argue that any other truck simulator could be called more popular or better than Euro Truck Simulator 2. The fact that it gets regular updates alone should be enough to put it into a league of its own.
